Control systems
EAPC has a fire detection system based on infrared detectors installed on all the tanks at the company’s oil terminals. The system is designed to detect any flame the moment it appears. The unique custom-tailored system was built according to EAPC specifications and manufactured in Israel according to the most stringent local standards. The moment fire breaks out, the system sends out an alert, and cameras are activated, transmitting a live picture to the control rooms. The control rooms are staffed 24/7 by EAPC employees (“operators and dispatchers”) trained and qualified for the job over a six-month period, and who participate in refresher exercises several times a year.

Pipeline leak control

The oil pipelines, deployed along the length of the country, are equipped with an API 1130 certified leak control system manufactured to be compatible with EAPC’s pipelines.

The purpose of the system is to issue an alert in real time to the control rooms in the event of a leak, and to provide data on the size and location of the leak in order to enable immediate measures to be taken to minimize the leak and the resultant damage.

The tanks and crude oil pipelines are also equipped with cathodic protection systems to minimize corrosion, in accordance with the most stringent international and local standards
